During the beginning of quarantine, I focused on creating P95 masks with a 3D printer and Tinkercad. While the masks weren't completely functional, (a few printing flaws made it difficult to ensure the masks were truly safe), they did allow me to apply my new skills with 3D printing to my manufacturing of face shields.

I print out the headband of the face shield with our 3D printer, as depicted on the left. Afterwards, I punch holes in the thick plastic film that correspond with the notches on the headpiece, and insert the plastic onto the headpiece, as shown in the picture on the right. I am currently shipping approximately 50 to a state government in Karaikal, India, whose doctors are in desperate need of shields.
